CLMD – Black Eyes And Blue (Original Mix)
The Norwegian duo, Carl Louis and Martin Danielle are now officially to be called CLMD. So don’t be confused! They are Simply shorting their DJ name to just their initials. This is such a neat song, and just a real treat. A sweet progressive hit with a quality drum line and hypnotic vocals. I am definitely a fan of this. Black Eyes And Blue. Enjoy!

Hujje – Haunting Me (Original Mix)
Hello to our avid fans and followers… SOOO I’m incredibly sorry for my lengthy absence! Sick doesn’t even begin to describe how terrible I felt this past week and a half, but I’m back and ready to bring you some KICK ASS TUNES! Starting off with this feel good electro/trancelike/house mix. Holy hell it just packs the punch there doesn’t it?? So many awesome dance genres in one? Plus you have Hujje crankin this mix out? Ashley Wallbridge – The Inner Me
Almost two weeks ago, English trance legend Ashley Wallbridge made a debut of his first full length album titled The Inner Me. I’ve been eagerly awaiting this release heard the news back in December, and have finally given a few listens through and selected some of my favorite tracks. The whole album is fantastic. Every song is uplifting and euphoric to mirror his traditional form of play. Though the tracks aren’t as long as I had hoped, being his first release, Ashley has done a masterful job. If you’re looking for a good album to kick back to, cheer up to, or zone out and happily listen to this would be a good call. Below is the tracklist with links to previews of my favorites. Overall World To Turn is by far my favorite because of the pairing with Andy Moor which is then again complimented with the wonderous voice of Gabriela. Honorable mention is Bang The Drum with the vocals of Audrey Gallagher. You can get the album on Beatport. Cheers

Corderoy feat. Little Neve White – Run Into The Sun (Original Vocal Mix)
Run Into The Sun is Corderoy’s first single to be released with the High Contrast label, and a brilliant piece of trance work at that. The intro starts off kinda of slow, dreamy, and with beautiful haunting vocals. Then everything changes at the 3:00 mark. Surprisingly there are a few back ground whomps that clearly have dub influence- but for all you hardcore trance fans like myself, don’t be deterred by this statement. They are very minimal, and work perfectly for such a big room trance track. Get this version and other edits on Beatport. Cheers

Armin Van Buuren – A State of Trance 2012 (Album Out Now)
There have been some highly anticipated tracks coming from the newly installed album titled A State of Trance 2012, by the one and only Armin Van Buuren. Several of the tunes coming from the 2 disk set have already made it into sets from around the world, not to mention Tune of The Week and Future Favorite on many A State of Trance episodes. We’ll be doing a follow-up writing of this album as soon as I get a listen in! Stay tuned! The official release date was to be March 1st but Armada Music Shop says the album isn’t available in the US until August for some reason… let’s hope this is an error. Until that hopeful error is fixed you can ‘pre-order’ from Armada Music or just head to iTunes. Below are the two preview videos from both CDs in set! Cheers

Illusion (Alexander Adstedt Remix)
Soo Sweden has definitely got it going on, but I can’t like stress how much I love this guy enough. Alexander Adstedt comin in hot right now with this epic Illusion remix. Its 7 minutes of melodic, beautiful goodness… like 7 minutes in heaven, except we aren’t in middle school anymore, and this is not some song you get a little crush on and lust over for a bit. Its a song you can easily fall in love with. With some silky, sultry vocals from Lina Harriette and a beat that gets you completely entranced in the mix, its just an over all chill, electro-dance mix that is different from a lot of the stuff we have been posting lately. Its exactly what the doctor ordered. Come and get your breath of fresh air, courtesy of Alexander Adstedt. ENJOY!

Album Favorites: Markus Schulz Los Angeles ’12
Well after nearly 2 weeks I made my initial promise to review the Los Angeles ’12 Album, I’ve finally gotten around to the write-up. First off let me state that if you don’t have the Album, you need to buy it now. This is a trance album that is absolutely worth spending your buck on. In the tracklist below I’ve highlighted and linked my 10 favorite tunes from both CDs but don’t take this as an evidence that these are the only songs good- I thoroughly enjoyed both CDs! Both ring in a powerful energy with also sense of reflective trance that was excellently compiled by the man himself Markus Schulz. Finally I’ve included YouTube video of my overall two favorite tracks which were Quantum Mechanics – Styller and The Fusion – Omnia & Ira. Get the full album here on Beatport. Cheers!
Andrew Bayer & Matt Lange feat. Kerry Leva – In And Out Of Phase (Club Edit)
Yes Lange again- and Andrew Bayer! This time it includes the blissful vocals of Kerry Leva that are simply god-tier. The Club Edit of In And Out Of Phase offers and extension to an already soothing and euphoric releasing song. There is a breakdown halfway through the song that pulls in a series of strings which are a superb addition. Having a stressful day? Take a hear on this tune and that’ll change. Lange & Audrey Gallagher – Our Way Home (Original Mix)
Lange paired up with Audrey Gallagher to produce this exciting and love filled track Our Way Home. Audrey’s perfectly pitched vocals are always a great treat to a well-composed trance song. I’m always very appreciative and much of a sucker for some good guitar samples like we hear in this song. Fantastic love song. It was just released today so get it on Beatport or Direct Download. Armin Van Buuren pres. Gaia – J’ai Envie De Toi
This man seriously cannot be beat. Armin Van Buuren previewed his new track J’ai Envie De Toi on ASOT 547. The track will be one of many listed on the upcoming A State of Trance 2012 CD set to be released March 5th. We’ll definitely be doing a favorites review once that CD is released, but until then enjoy this preview ripped from episode 547! It has the typical tone of one of Armin’s powerful and more spiritual tracks. Wait for 2:28 for the full experience! Cheers

Tritonal did some incredible work remixing Super8 & Tab‘s Awakenings from a few months back. This new mix has all the same qualities of power trance. One could easily lose themselves in the uplifting, high paced, and high energy melody that the listener is put into. Ah the time has finally come. After weeks of waiting Gareth Emery‘s Concrete Angel has finally been released. The well constructed melody is a testament to the true skill and unique sound of Emery. Christina Novelli‘s lyrics are beautiful and give birth to a wonderful romantic trance song. If you wanna skip the intro of the song and get to the chase, fast forward to 1:36 and listen from there. I’ve been restraining myself from uploading this video for 2 weeks now and… JUSTCAN’TWAITANYMOREOK?! First time I heard it in Gareth Emery’s Trance Around The World 400 set (a must download) I instantly fell in love. It’s a perfect combination of stunningly beautiful vocals and construction of trance. The track drops February 13 so I’ll re-post then, but until then, fall in love with listening to it in this official video. 🙂

Above & Beyond @ Axis Radius, Scottsdale Tonight!
Ah! Totally forgot to do a write-up about this! It’s 4:00pm but if you are a Phoenix, Tucson, or Arizona reader in general and want to see an incredibly tremendous show tonight then go and BUY YOUR TICKETS TO SEE ABOVE & BEYOND TONIGHT! They’ll be playing at Axis Radius in Old Town, Scottsdale, which is the perfect venue for these guys. When I saw their set at EDC 2010 I literally was brought to tears because their music is just so jovial, loving, and energetic! I promise you won’t be disappointed- that is if there’s anyone I reached out to in time. There’s some HUGE events coming up this month and next I’ll be writing about so stay tuned.

Emma Hewitt – Colours
A few weeks ago I remember reading somewhere that Emma Hewitt was going to be releasing her first album. I also remember being absolutely ecstatic with the news! Emma (yet another Australian!) has a long history with the trance community who share a deep love for her beautiful voice and passionate dedication towards the genre. It’s about due time we see some individual stuff from her. Below is her official music video highlighting the single Colours alongside her beautiful voice. This track is very laid-back and slow, but it would be a sin for me not to post it. If you’re looking for something more upbeat and powerful, try the remix of the song that Armin Van Buuren slaved over for months, trying to get it absolutely perfect in honor of Emma. Mike Foyle & ReFeel – Universal Language (Ben Gold Remix)
Oh boy! Ben Gold has done an incredible job remixing this track! I can’t put it much better than Armada already has; “UK producers Mike Foyle & ReFeel set the tone for 2012. With ‘Universal Language’, they land a warm, future classic for the trance loving crowds. Giving us a taste of summer with its guitar riffs, while keeping us warm in mid-winter, is the melodic gem…” Pretty much spot on how I feel when I hear this track. The stage has been set early for Trance in 2012. Other artists have a lot to live up to! I’ll definitely be buying this track on Beatport January 9th when it is released! Cheers

A State of Trance Yearmix Release!
My second favorite day of the year has come, A State of Trance annual Yearmix has been just been released today! Following up Episode 540, which I posted 5 days ago, Episode 541 is the last ASOT Episode of the year. These 89 tracks from 2011 were hand selected by Armin Van Buuren and edited 4219 times to make up this epic 2 hour compilation!
