Nadia Ali @ Monarch Theatre PHOENIX, AZ MAY 26

Nadia Ali will also be paying a very welcome visit to Phoenix in this glorious month of May, and continue to break in the new Monarch Theatre in downtown Phoenix. Known for her vocals in Rapture, Feels so GoodKeep it Coming (which we covered an epic remix of), iiO, etc. the girl has an amazing set of pipes and incredible attractiveness to accompany it. Rapture was one of the first songs I ever heard when I came into the EDM scene years ago, and her vocals still haunt me with utmost beauty. You can bet I’ll be at this show. Cheers

Zonderling – Sonderling (Original Mix)

Who is Zonderling?! Well from what I could dig up in 15 minutes from the seemingly elussive artist is that he is from the Netherlands, works under the Klopfgeist Record, and I really like this track! Sonderling was shown to me by a friend named Austin, and I have no idea how he found it, but am grateful for the share. What’s most enjoyable about this track is that it is very mimilastic for a progressive house tune, but every sound is absolutely necessary to the overall composure. The video above definitely accommodates the potentially mysterious and dreaminess vibe the track can give off. Whoever you are Zonderling, we here at ESOM are watching and beg for more! You can buy the track on Beatport. Cheers

Congorock – Monolith and Agarta (Two Original Mixes)

Haven’t heard anything from Congorock in quite some time! They just released two new tracks titled Monolith and Agarta. Monolith is my favorite because like the name suggests, the thing is frakkin massive. The lead us in with an epic intro before capturing our attention with modified strings as the build continues to grow. Finally at 1:28 we are relieved of painful pressure and unleashed to rage to eastern synths and beats of the jungle! We aren’t left in safety after that point in the song, as there is another massive build and drop. Get the two tracks here on Beatport! Cheers

Eric Prydz Presents Pryda (Album Teaser)

[youtube http://youtu.be/QBH3nVnHQAU]

The video doesn’t show nor say much, but it’s very exciting news none-the-less! Eric Prydz (Pryda) will be dropping an album May 21, 2012 titled Pryda. This album supposedly “reflects the last 8 years” of his life, and will surely not disapoint. Been waiting to hear this news for quite some time! We will most definitely be covering this release, so let the 2 month wait officially begin! Cheers

Ashley Wallbridge – The Inner Me

Almost two weeks ago, English trance legend Ashley Wallbridge made a debut of his first full length album titled The Inner Me. I’ve been eagerly awaiting this release heard the news back in December, and have finally given a few listens through and selected some of my favorite tracks. The whole album is fantastic. Every song is uplifting and euphoric to mirror his traditional form of play. Though the tracks aren’t as long as I had hoped, being his first release, Ashley has done a masterful job. If you’re looking for a good album to kick back to, cheer up to, or zone out and happily listen to this would be a good call. Below is the tracklist with links to previews of my favorites. Overall World To Turn is by far my favorite because of the pairing with Andy Moor which is then again complimented with the wonderous voice of Gabriela. Honorable mention is Bang The Drum with the vocals of Audrey Gallagher. You can get the album on Beatport. Cheers

Tracklist:

01 – Emotions
02 – These Walls

Corderoy feat. Little Neve White – Run Into The Sun (Original Vocal Mix)

Run Into The Sun is Corderoy’s first single to be released with the High Contrast label, and a brilliant piece of trance work at that. The intro starts off kinda of slow, dreamy, and with beautiful haunting vocals. Then everything changes at the 3:00 mark. Surprisingly there are a few back ground whomps that clearly have dub influence- but for all you hardcore trance fans like myself, don’t be deterred by this statement. They are very minimal, and work perfectly for such a big room trance track. Get this version and other edits on Beatport. Cheers

Featured: Wick-it The Instigator

True electronic talent has the ability to navigate in between different genres without so much as a hiccup. Wick-it The Instigator has that talent. He’s got his fingers in electro-house, dubstep, and moombahton. What I like most about his style is that while clearly displaying the ability to flip back and forth between very diverse styles, the base influence is very oriental and drum related. The end result would make you think he’s from Malaysia or India, but in contrary is really from Nashville, Tennessee! I’ve posted two tracks below which highlight his ability to change style, and pump life into some well-known hip-hop tracks. Best of all, you can download them for free in the Soundcloud player. Cheers

MSD – No Forgo

Meet MSD– an insane French dubstep producer. The song No Forgo has had smashing consequences at shows both in the UK and around the world. It’s so hot BBC Radio 1 has even been broadcasting it to unprepared civilians. If you’re ready to get your ears blown to a bloody pulp as you simultaneously smash your head back and forth on your keyboard, take a listen to the Habstrakt remix below. Afterwards if you have any brain cells left in your head, lock the name MSD in your mind because you’ll be hearing more… soon.Get the original and remixes here on Beatport which is currently #9 on the dub chart!

KA5UM – The Buzz (KA5UM Bootleg)

As stated in our goals for this site, we love to promote up and coming artists, and any music that sounds good. Ka5um is brand new to the scene, and I mean like a little over a month or so… but he killed it with this Bootleg consisting of Buzzin by Mann and Punx by Tristan Garner. Appropriately titled The Buzz, the electro-house track most certainly keeps you wound up the entire time. We will be waiting anxiously to see the what musical path you will be taking Ka5um! Have a hear below and download the track for free from the Soundcloud player. Cheers

Tiësto’s In The Booth Episode 10

Concluding the first series of Tiësto‘s In The Booth, Episode 10 travels to Los Angeles for the biggest U.S. DJ gig in history. 26,000 fans visited the Home Depot Center to watch Tiësto to play, which is very very impressive. Overall I think the series was very insightful and useful for providing fans/other artists a glimpse into how much work, travel, and fun goes into the job as one of the biggest DJs ever. Looking forward to see where they take the next installment of the series.

Azealia Banks vs. Steve Angello – Knas 212 (Dj Óli Geir Bootleg)

Knas is the classic electro house track that brings me back to EDC 2010. It’s really nice to see the songs revival in a mash with Azealia Banks212.  DJ Óli Geir from Iceland stitches together the upbeat pace of Knas with the quick and witty vocals in 212. The result is a bootleg that hits particularly hard on the second drop. Take a listen below and download for free in the Soundcloud player! Cheers

Noisia – Machine Gun (Amon Tobin Remix)

Machine Gun is a song released by Noisia back in 2010. Hell, the remixes came out then for this song too. However, I didn’t discover the Amon Tobin Remix of the track until maybe over a month ago. It’s been so creepy and catchy I had to share. The track is electronic but it gives off the vibe that you are in some future post-apocalyptic world being chased by deadly machinery. Deadly, but certainly not dreary. Get the song here on iTunes or via Direct Download. Cheers

Backcornerz & Felvez – Show Me Amazing Love

Show Me Love has hit the hearts of many artists and produces as an instant house classic since its first debut in the late ’90s. There have been many remixes, bootlegs, and edits to the track over the years by many top-name artists that have given the track a little more love (pun intended). Backcornerz now joins the ranks of the elite with their new twist titled Show Me Amazing Love. In this song you will hear the passionate lyrics alongside some new phat synths and cheerful kicks. The track really flows well. Get it here for free off the Direct Download! Cheers

Featured: The Control Freakz

An Irish Dance duo called known as The Control Freakz has our undivided attention today. They specialize in adding flavor, spice, and everything nice in their bootlegs. Two of said bootlegs really made our ears tingle. The first was Groove Armada’s Superstylin’ which is a classic. What’s added to this track is a more housey feel and makes me wanna kick it on a beach in the tropics. The second bootleg of interest is Lykke Li’s I Follow Rivers. In this track we get more of a happy dance vibe. Check them both out and download them for free below! Cheers

Tiësto’s In The Booth Episode 9

[youtube http://youtu.be/nZi4KRDqlDs]

The College Invasion Tour episode! Taking place last fall, Tiësto and Porter Robinson toured University campuses mainly on both the east and west coast, and saw a huge positive response. This episode helps to highlight just how integrated electronic dance music is with today’s youth. Two points the video made that are completely relavent is first that Electronic Music has been mainstream around the world for some time now, and America is finally catching up! The second statement was that news, television, and radio in the US have all done a poor job of responding to and reporting this huge movement. Tiësto says that the scene movement is still technically underground, and I would agree but it certainly is making a break for pushing out- and very soon I might add! Cheers to electronic music and PLUR! ❤
