Nadia Ali @ Monarch Theatre PHOENIX, AZ MAY 26

Nadia Ali will also be paying a very welcome visit to Phoenix in this glorious month of May, and continue to break in the new Monarch Theatre in downtown Phoenix. Known for her vocals in Rapture, Feels so GoodKeep it Coming (which we covered an epic remix of), iiO, etc. the girl has an amazing set of pipes and incredible attractiveness to accompany it. Rapture was one of the first songs I ever heard when I came into the EDM scene years ago, and her vocals still haunt me with utmost beauty. You can bet I’ll be at this show. Cheers

Mikael Weermets – Live @ Space

Here is from Mikael Weermets live performance at The Space this January. This podcast is 59 minutes of create mixing by Mikael Weermets. For those of you who don’t know who he is, he is an extremely talented DJ from Gothenburg, Sweden and once you listen to him I’m sure he will easily make it into the top ranks of your favorite DJs. I can’t wait for him to come tour around the U.S. (I’m crossing my fingers it will be sometime soon) but for now this bit will have to do! Check it out!!!

1st Ever Live Broadcast on Twitter hosted by Tiësto!

This is big. This is real big people! Even as a person such as myself who questions social media outlets and some of Tiësto’s moves at times, I can see that he just made history- and that other artists are soon to follow. Wednesday night in Las Vegas, the 2012 Consumer Electronics Show (CES) was held. The kicker is that two computing giants HP and Intel worked together at their booth to produce with Tiësto the first ever live broadcast of a set on Twitter. Now in the past, Twitter has streamed broadcasts of various artists, but never have they done it live. Tiësto, HP, and Intel, all unveiled a new page setup on their pages where a small video player appeared as a tweet, and in unquestionably great quality. This will continue to bridge the gap between follower and artist, allowing real-time connectivity virtually anywhere. I’m incredibly interested to see where this will go! Check out a recap of the broadcast if you wish in the Ustream video! Cheers
